Audemars Piguet,a legend of the watchmaking industry and one of the brands of the so-called Holy Trinity,is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year.
It must have been clear to everyone that 2025 would literally be bursting with(not only)new Royal Oaks.
And as expected, that’s exactly what happened.
AP kicked off its celebrations a few days ago by introducing the new caliber 7138 with the royal complication of the perpetual calendar and,of course, lots of new models.

A Trip into History
The brand was founded in 1875 in the small Swiss village of Le Brassus by a pair of young men:
Jules Louis Audemars(24 years old)and Edward Auguste Piguet(22 years old).
They began working together in 1875,respectively,but they didn’t establish the company Audemars Piguet&Cie.,Manufacture d’Horlogerie until 6 years later.
They focused their attention on high-quality and mostly highly complicated(pocket)watches.
One example for all:the watch nicknamed Universelle from 1899 boasts a total of 19 complications.
Including a perpetual calendar,Grand Sonnerie,alarm,dead seconds,split-seconds chronograph and more.
AP and perpetual calendars
While the first pocket watch with a perpetual calendar(by the way,the abbreviation QP for perpetual calendar watches is from.
The French”quantième perpétuel”)was made by British watchmaker Thomas Mudge in 1762.
The first mass-produced wristwatch was made by Patek Philippe in 1941(ref.1518 and 1526).
However,AP also made its mark in the history of QP,for example in 1955 with ref.5516.
The first perpetual calendar watch boasting a leap year indicator.
And then in 1978 with the caliber 2120/2800–the thinnest perpetual calendar in the world!

New Watch Replicas Uk caliber 7138:5 years in development
It’s finally time to take a look at the new products!
But rather than a specific watch replicas uk,we will first look at the new movement, the thin automatic caliber 7138–this is the biggest innovation.
But don’t worry,we will also get to the watch that this movement powers in a moment!
You are thinking:“What could possibly be interesting about a new mechanical movement with a perpetual calendar?
There are already dozens of such.Nothing new can be invented here…”But you would be terribly wrong!
Yes,there are indeed a lot of movements with perpetual calendars, but their control is–we will not beat around the bush.
Tragic and their resistance(especially to impatient and inexperienced users)is not the best.
AP decided to tackle these problems, and we can say that it was successful!
The caliber 7138 does not require(case-disfiguring)correctors and(quickly lost)styluses–everything can be controlled using the crown!
Setting perpetual calendars using correctors(small buttons on the sides of the case)and a stylus,in a precisely specified order, often resembles entering extremely complex cheat codes in video games.
It just takes much longer and with a little carelessness you can not only scratch the case of your luxury watch, but in the worst case, even damage its movement.
Control using the crown is therefore a big leap forward.
A leap towards more advanced QPs from IWC or Moser.
A leap into the 21st century! Moreover, the new movement cannot be damaged if,for example, you try to change the date between 9 and 3 o’clock in the morning(although you most likely will not change the date at that time)-it is therefore much more durable overall.

Of course,AP could not just introduce the new movement on its own
It had to be equipped with some watch replicas uk,specifically these three new models:
Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in steel(26674ST),
Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in Sand Gold(26674SG)
and Code 11.59 Perpetual Calendar in 18K white gold(26494BC).
The cases of all three watches are 41 mm in diameter, all are extremely thin on the QP,and all three models boast the same layout of subdials, which of course depends on the movement inside.
The moon phase indicator is quite classically at 6 o’clock, but the days of the week and date have been swapped into a more logical(understand European)order-you can read them naturally from left to right.
At 9 o’clock, you’ll also find a 24-hour time display alongside the days of the week(with a prominent red section that tells you to avoid resetting the date at this time of day,as we mentioned above).
While the Code 11.59 features a light blue fumédial dotted with engraved circles, the Royal Oaks feature the tried-and-tested Grande Tapisserie pattern, either in blue or gold.
And while the Royal Oaks are available with the now-legendary integrated movement, the Code 11.59 will be sold on a blue strap combining a rubber exterior with a textile pattern and a black leather interior.
