The engineers in Patek Philippe’s Advanced Research department have developed a revolutionary device to amplify and diffuse the sound of a minute repeater watch.
A new system at the forefront of watchmaking innovation was recently unveiled by Patek Philippe’s Advanced Research department.
Created in 2005,this department brings together top specialists and boasts state-of-the-art equipment dedicated to the research of new materials, technologies, and designs.
The manufacture’s engineers’latest creation concerns chiming watches.
The invention benefits(for now)the Minute Repeater 5750 Advanced Research,a limited edition of 15 pieces in platinum.
It is a revolutionary module–entirely mechanical–capable of emitting a sound volume of unprecedented power in watchmaking.
A kind of miniature loudspeaker,if you will.

Dubbed”Fortissimo,”this mechanism is connected to the caliber’s acoustic system(hammers and gongs)by a suspension lever(shaped like a tuning fork)to which a 0.2 mm thick synthetic sapphire vibrating plate is attached.
When the hammers strike the gongs, the vibrations propagate along the lever, which transmits them to the sapphire plate, causing it to vibrate.
This dramatically amplifies the sound.
Protected by four patents, the Patek Philippe Minute Repeater 5750″Advanced Research”emits its sound over a great distance.
Replica Watches-Spectacular”is no exaggeration.
It’s possible to hear the watch’s melody six times farther away than a classic minute repeater—up to 60 meters(Editor’s note:in complete silence,of course!).

And the acoustic quality is equally impressive.
The watchmaking engineers have indeed succeeded in achieving both power and harmony.
This is achieved by also extending the duration of the melody, allowing the chimes to resonate a little longer.
For example, the maximum duration of the chime(32 strikes at 12:59)is usually 17/18 seconds.
But replica watches here,it has been extended to 20/21 seconds.
Furthermore, the hammers are made of platinum, not steel as in a traditional minute repeater.
This precious metal allows for a higher quality of strike, with a softer but equally loud sound.
The other advantage of the Fortissimo module is its transparency.
It therefore perfectly reveals the fascinating automatic caliber–with its platinum micro-rotor–that powers the watch.
One could almost forget the beauty of the openworked white gold dial with small seconds.
Patek Philippe’s master craftsmen drew inspiration from vintage car rims to create this pure marvel.
