　　The sophisticated technique employed by the Italian artisans is entirely manual:

　　Each case back is handcrafted,resulting in truly captivating designs.

　　First,the steel is engraved using a special tool called a”sparsello.”Then,gold threads are inlaid within the grooves carved into the steel.

　　The gold is injected in several parallel layers and then hammered until the engraved grooves are completely filled,thus embellishing the image of the monkey.

　　This work demands extraordinary skill from the artisans.

　　As the gold threads are inlaid onto a case back that has already been engraved and polished.

　　The slightest mistake can therefore ruin all the previous work.

　　The engraved case back,lined with a small mirror on its inner surface,conceals a minimalist gray dial with a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock and a date window at 3 o’clock.

　　The case is mounted on a 44 mm Luminor 1950 case,crafted entirely from satin-finished AISI 316L stainless steel.
